Extended School Year (ESY)
Summer School Program

summer school student

Students that attend ESY have been identified by the IEP team as a student who would benefit from the additional educational opportunities provided through the Extended School Year program. The extra instruction that students receive during summer intervention programs will help fill gaps in learning, reinforce important skills, and better prepare them for the next school year. Students' learning focus will be on reading, writing, mathematics, science, and physical fitness related to the annual theme. Field trips are also a vital part of students' ESY experience.
KSD's summer school program is a quality three week program for preschool, elementary, middle and high school students. Classes are Monday-Friday beginning at 8:30am and finishing at 2:30pm. Preschool program is from 8:30-11:30am. Transportation is provided following the same eligibility guidelines as during the regular school year. Lunch and snacks are provided to all students.

This year's theme was Green Earth

The Green Earth ESY 2017 was from June 12th to June 30th
