Kansas School for the Deaf is a maintenance bilingual school where American Sign Language (ASL) and English are used equally in the classroom as the languages of instruction. KSD follows three frameworks: signacy, literacy, and oracy. These are guiding force in the methodologies of bilingual education for the deaf. Services provided to students, staff, families, and community members include:
