Presented in recognition of individual National Association of the Deaf (NAD) members who have demonstrated dedicated volunteer service on behalf of the NAD and the American deaf and hard of hearing community.

Scott Plummer

Scott is the father of four beautiful children, three who are deaf and one KODA. He is a high school teacher at the Kansas School for the Deaf (KSD). With his wife, Loralee, he has been a tireless advocate for parents and family members in the Olathe area, hosting events, often providing networking opportunities for others, collecting information, and providing support for hearing parents. Scott often provides a much-needed bridge of connection between hearing parents and the deaf community. He constantly finds ways to incorporate advocacy resources and various deaf community information into his curriculum for KSD students, which has made a tremendous difference.
